Ex Miami Dolphin receiver, Chris Chambers is back:))). After an exceptional career in the NFL, he returns to South Florida to continue his Charitable work with “Catch 84 Foundation” A N D   to provide world class athletic training, physical rehabilitation and therapeutic consulting in a new business entity designed by Mummaw and Associates, Inc.

Chris’s tag line for the Business is “Once you enter the Chamber, you will never be the same”. Mummaw’s Design team consisting of myself, Simeon Kirilov(Intern Architect) and Diana Mummaw collaborated with Chris and his Consulting Director Andy Hanley to develop some key Design Concepts.

We landed on Three Primary “Chambers”

STRENGTH – State-of-the-art power, weight lifting and Pneumatic resistant training area

ENERGY – NFL combine agility field, sprint lanes & hi-tech cardiovascular training area. State of the Art Therapy and Rehabilitation Treatment rooms restore the athlete to elite physical levels.

COACHING – Experienced trainers, including Chris & Andy consult with groups or one on one to analyze performance, guide and mentor the athlete.

These “CHAMBERS” help organize the office into specific realms and CONCEIVE a Design Strategy. The rotation of the athlete through these areas during intensive consulting, training and recovery sessions was critical to the overall business methodology. Dozens of training/therapy equipment pieces, specific  ergonomic limits and the “flow” of the athletes were considered.

The Design solution CREATED a rugged frame for the serious athlete looking to enhance their physical and mental performance or recover from a serious injury. Multiple  soffits designed with an “EIGHT” like geometry. Varying color hues of grey, red, black and cream set the back drop. Diana then selected unique materials for the floors, counter tops, cabinetry and locker rooms. Simeon added a remarkable design CONCEPT by introducing a “leather” looking wallcovering to the Reception Feature wall. This emulates the rawhide on a football. I then suggested to Chris that he could use this wall as an autograph area for his successful athletes who achieve their performance goals of making College & Pro teams.

The Project is about to be CREATED and is expected to be open for Consulting, Training and Treatment Services by June.
